great descriptive writing

I admit i’m not that well read and certainly no scholar or critic.

I think you have a great style and a great vocabulary and a great wit that i’ve seen in your ramblings and some here.

I’m not sure what the novel is about like mystery, adventure or what kind of tone you’re looking for. It reminds me of ‘catcher in the rye’ a little and if it’s written in that spirit, you could certainly interject more wit into these descriptive passages, even if you have to fabricate some or place it from other experiences.

as an example:
assured any lonesome traveler that the motel was “100% AMERICAN OWNED & OPERATED” (which naturally made me wonder if the competing caravansaries were run by foreign despots)

this line had me laughing outloud.

reading the longer one now put me down for 10 copies, mike
