Sleasy conversation in a bar, friends getting friends drunk in a bar, turning them into alcoholics, trying to get them laid.

Another detached, scenery-void piece, another conversation we’re eavesdropping on intently. I am a fan of these, as I’ve said. They’re a break of thicker pieces and they all, even the bleak ones, have a sense of great humor about them. All of the expectation of a story is placed solely in the dialouge and I always expect a punchline of some sort to pop up. All the laughter that there is in here resonates deeply in, though I’m not likely to laugh out loud at these, I can a bit in a darker place.

On a more critical note, the actual dialouge is seems forced, or devoid of something. As fun as these are to write, it’s difficult to come up with a real-to-life conversation without having the back story all written out on the pages before.
