but it never seems to happen in bars
on a pier in Morrow Bay
in a house in catonsville
an aprartment in Takoma Park

Too many faces
looked into too many eyes and looked away.
The question marks in my mind above a woman’s face, was she the one, why did we look into each other’s eyes so long, why did I not stay
