Love For A Day..

We had just met. The party was small,
but I felt comfortable.
“Have you ever been in love?” she asked.
“No I havn’t. Never.” I answered.
She stared at me and said, “how sad for you.”
She was very tall, beautifull, and confidant.
“Love comes and goes,” I said,
“aloneness is forever.”
She came close to me and gently burrowed
her forehead into my neck. Her scent was intoxicating.
She whispered, “you could love me, and your
aloneness would stop for today.”
What a wonderfull thought. Aloneness ending
for one day. I gently pulled her close to me
and said softly, “I will love you for today then.”
We gently kissed, and quickly left the party.
