Saturday 1/22/00:

The Rico’s had us over for dinner tonight. Joyce made fish and potatoes and butternut squash and lettuce and olive oil – all food that Heidi could eat. It was really nice. I know it meant a lot to Heidi not to have to worry about cooking all those special foods for one night. It was a nice break for her. They didn’t bother talking about the cancer either, which was a nice relief. It was a quiet, refreshing evening. They had it planned out real good.
