What Should I Do?

I would like to say that I’m not DOCTOR PROTEUS, simply Proteus.

Being relatively new to this wonderful site I’ve been looking back at earlier posts increasingly at awe with the talent here. Then I come across a post by Doctor Proteus and from what I can tell he is a writer of great talent, far superior to my efforts. I read he has left?

I’ve been posting under another name (very obvious 1) before I chose Proteus, the reason I changes is my wife can get very jealous, if she for 1 moment thought I was using this site to meet women I’d be in deep shit. I can assure you those are not my intentions I just want freedom to do what I have always wanted to without worrying about upsetting my wife. Ergo, I changed my name and thought I was being somewhat original.

You see Proteus was a Greek god, ‘old man of the sea’ known for his waste knowledge (tongue in cheek) and the ability to assume any shape necessary. How does that relate to me they think? Well, I’ve spent a lot of time at sea, I’m not that old but it’s one of my favorite Hemmingway story’s, I’d like to think I was knowledgeable (enough degrees) and will morph to whatever reality I feel like / get to.

There you have it, I generally do short stories (too long this site) and raw poetry. If I can get anything out of this site then great and if along the way I get a few laughs and make a few friends with similar interests then even better.

KEEP IT Vs DUMP IT? Comments and / or suggestions welcome (veterans who new D Proteus especially).
