Eclipsed – (a sonnet)

Imaginary boundaries can seem
To surface while the sun’s behind the moon,
Eclipsed, like hands which hide the face of dreams
Awakening our harmony and tune.
Elusive are the liberties of Fate
Which tease the daylight hours with a grin
Then night descends on wings as raven’s mate
To claim the talon’s clutch in midst of sin.
The residence of mirrors of the soul
Reflect two hearts which chime the ring of Hope
In halved and quartered, eighth notes of the whole,
Asea while we are freed by tides’ full scope.
……Tonight I take the bounty of your voice
……Eclipsed no more, soft resonance, our choice.
