a follower of christ, literally, must love Christ’s message more than his immediate family, for to follow Jesus in those days, meant giving up all material attachment to spread the word.
He couldn’t ask any less of anyone in those days and asks of us now, to love and believe the message of God so that we can minister and serve those who need help in believing.
