i agree about the epiphany on the mountain. the moments I also find memorable and enlighting are when Kerouac crys, or breaks down, curses at insects or rocks. These I think reflect the reality of life and how it reflects his fall from the harmonious state of zen that is the reality of Kerouacs “real life” and how he degenrates.
