i’m not much of a poet

so i’m not sure how to answer you, but they are good questions.

i used to write poems all the time, but i find that now, most of what i have to say doesn’t come in poetic form. however, when i do write poetry, i’m asking questions, or answering a question that’s been rattling around in my brain for awhile. in the past year or so, i’ve become more drawn to the visual aspect of writing, and i think i like to make readers see. or at least that’s my hope. i don’t shoot for this all the time, but i guess that would be a main point.

i think poetry has some fun, playful elements to it, and that it doesn’t have to be taken so seriously all the time. i like the things that writing in this medium (the internet) provides…. i think it makes play and exchange more possible and immediate. i feel myself starting to ramble, and i’m not sure i answered anything here, so i guess that’s a good sign that i should just stop typing.
