Let’s start a call-in radio show,
spontaneous spoken word
accompanied by bass guitar and drums.
If the caller stumbles over lines,
we’ll fill in the timing with hums.
We’ll call it ‘Speak Your Peace – Anything Goes’.
It’ll be addictive, like candy for the nose.
We’ll have special guests, Dylan, Creely, Maya,
talk about taboo topics to the beat
of desiyah.
Let’s accept e-mailed pieces
with varied themes stretching
from political statements to underwear,
dare people to submit.
Read ’em on the air.
We’ll be supported by Major Poetry Foundations,
create a media stir. CNN will contact us
to set a time for a film engagement.
Hollywood offers will follow.
Truths spoken loud,
whispers of Hope from the crowd.
Nothing weak or hollow.

Say what you want.
This is not bizarre.
Every voice, a star.
