Okay.

Do you think writers should just follow their instincts and write about what they know, or should they try and break out of the familiar and write from a viewpoint they haven’t experienced?

Should an author attempt to write in the opposite gender? A vastly different age group? From a different culture?

Thoughts, opinions, comments, snide remarks,and unrelated but nonetheless delicious recipes for rice pudding desserts are welcomed.
