where I change things over and over. Only I change it each time I type it up somewhere or read it aloud or make a new copy. “Blackhart Joe” is one of those (not the story, the poem). Poe did the same thing with “The Raven.”


“Annabel Lee” is one of my favourite of Poe’s. That and “The Conqueror Worm.”
