The way the QUEST played was a surprise at every turn.

We had a good mix of regulars and newbies, and it may be that the general LitKicks tone of friendliness and openness to newcomers helped the newcomers make a strong showing. Mtmynd, panta, jota, judih, and Doreen all helped the others in their groups feel comfortable and welcome, and many of the newcomers seemed to thrive in the attention, approaching the weekly assignments with passion and intensity. I wonder if this phenomenon amounts to a slight home-field disadvantage for LitKicks regulars?

If so, though, I think it’s slight. I just want to thank the people DP and BB mentioned for making the QUEST work as well as it did.
