Wallace Pegler, a great artist, lived in the Beat
Hotel in Paris in 1957 and made paintings inspired by Gregory Corso’s poems. He did one I recall quite vividly called “The Death of Arnold”
Pegler was a strange artist selling everything he ever produced and destroying thousands of beautiful sketches and paintings as being unsatisfactory.
