‘It’s starting to sound like a Cub Scout rally or something.’

extremely apt words…
Yeah, what a nice little protest we had, it was really cool the way we thanked the police for stopping us deviating from our path… after all, we are British aren’t we?, we don’t want to cause any bother… Yeah, so there was a protest, so what? The only comments in the international media that I heard were those about the apparent ‘security risk’ that threatened king Bush. If this was just a cheap ploy to keep an embarrassing scene from occuring then it
worked. We were herded around, miles from where Bush was and you could tell; everything was just much more half-hearted. In an earlier post I i denounced protest and advocated violence, that was extreme, i was dissilusioned after traipsing around, only to hear that single, subtlely devastating sentence from Mrs Bush, said in her half-smiling, ugly, dimwitted way, about the protests ‘not being as bad as she thought’. No, I will not destroy my faith that peace can ONLY be gained through peaceful means, but instead I will say that it is an extremely difficult thing, and one that is almost instantly conceded when you place power in the talons of those with their own agendas…
