those deadlines, dragging you into the wee hours like good mad old friends – the tired yet highly alert and creative mind, the burning eyes, the head dizzy with the weight of commitment and the enticing humming of dreams, pressure shoving you forward like a truck on a deserted nocturnal higway of inspiration….

oh, how i love it, the silence and precious solitude of the night… and how i hate it, the numb head on the days after, heavy and stuffed with the lack of sleep….

i once went to university for a short period of time, and during that time i kept hitting the hay half an hour later every night, and thus getting up later and later in the morning, til i slept far into the afternoon, which i hated… so, eventually, i had to get up very early one morning after only a two-hour or so sleep to make sure i would be deadly tired that night and go to bed early…. and then it would start all anew.

right now, i have no choice – i go to bed quite late (usually between midnight and 1 a.m.), cause i need the precious hours of silence and solitude at night, and get up early (around 6 a.m.), cause i have to get the kid ready for school and myself for work.

so, i’m always tired.
but i’m very much alive!

(hi, alex! “naturplatz” würde man nicht sagen, aber ich verstehe dich sehr gut – es ist frühlingshaft warm hier, und die berge leuchten spätherbstlich und klar. ich hoffe, bei dir ist auch alles klar…. liebe grüße, panta)
