1) a woman would take the extra money in her paycheck to go splurge at Neimann Marcus and Walmart wouldn’t get as much business, thereby totally throwing the economy off kilter.

2) a woman would take the extra money and go have a sit down dinner at an upscale restaurant and McDonalds wouldn’t get as much business, thereby totally throwing the economy off kilter

and

3) a woman would take the extra money and possibly be smart enough to invest in starting her own business, steal all the customers from her employer, put her employer out of business, thereby totally throwing the economy off kilter

or

it’s some other reasons that make as much sense as these.
