some balance or you’ll end up dead without having shared your ideas.

you need some excessiveness or you’ll never understand pain or glee.

life offers very little inherent control. chances are, the excessiveness will come without you seeking it out.

i suggest balance. allow yourself this, allow yourself that, but also try to understand your goals and responsibilities, so that you are able to recognize when what you are allowing yourself is interfering with other things that will bring yourself happiness in the long term.

it’s all about somehow turning your ears inward and paying attention to yourself at least as much as you do to the street lights. both are necessary.
