I like talk of letter orgins and old civilizations, but it is the bottom line of the book, the intended message, that is hard to turn around in one’s mind without either totally believing it or throwing it all out; The 12th Planet is the name of this one and the core idea here is that Western, and perhaps Eastern, civilizations have a common begining, indeed even the human race itself, and that seed may have been placed here by an extra planetary group of humanoid life forms, or perhaps non human life forms; it is something that is easy to disreguard, but surely it is not impossible; what I have a problem with here is not the idea of humans and our ways of living being created as a result of the intermixing of early humanoid or primate animals with advanced space people, but that they would do it in the first place if they are advanced; I have a problem with evil aliens, if an intelligent group of lifeform sevolve to the point of space exploration, then one would think they would be past all the ego games, for surely if not they would have killed themselves off along the way
