i think i’ve come to a point where i have nothing new to say, and everything i did say sounded exactly the same as what i said before and so i’ve decided to give it a rest and see if maybe i can stop sounding so fucking… whatever.

i’m not trying to talk about myself here, because i really am not my point, except to say that perhaps it’s problematic, being the same across the board, because eventually you’ll end up boring the hell out of yourself.

anyway, i do agree with you, to an extent. i agree about how a work has to be consistent within itself in order to, um, work. but about this standing alone business… i’m not sure if i agree with you or not on this point, because i think i want you to explain that a little bit more. consistency among works aside, i think it’s obvious that the world the writer creates for the reader is not the same as the world the reader creates when experiencing the writing. can’t be, unless the writer and the reader are the same person. i think i’m making my head hurt again. but anyway, how is it possible for anything that’s meant to be experienced by another person to stand alone?
