should be purely fictional

like krishna, complete creatures of legend

that way we don’t confuse them with ourselves or reality

a statue of buddha is not the buddha

a cucifix is not the christ

but idolatry requires no graven images

we can idolize ideas as well

it’s called ‘belief’

and that is the fallacy of all religions

they require belief
