Sweet Remembrance

Mellow and mild a soft wind hisses
Beckoning me back to white wine kisses
Purple ribbons round white fences twisted
Peppermint moons and marshmallow fishes

An angel’s call prompts me thither
To blue green waters and rushing rivers
To soft sweet sobs and hot pink faces
Outstretched arms and warm embraces

The silky slide of palms o’er tender skin
Of cobblestone streets and apricot gin
Headfirst into deepest blue seas
Letting go of fear and skinning knees

Your gentle touch makes it all real
My heart does beat my soul does feel
My breath draws in all that was scattered
That I now taste love is all that matters

Beauty and grace, blend in motion
Life and breath and heartfelt devotion
Linger with me lest I forget thee
Sweet remembrance thy true melody
