Like I wrote in my review I saw Bob Dylan w/Paul Simon…and there were more joints being passed than a chiropractors office… The crowd was excellent! And Sir Paul McCartney is unreal.. but the Doors is even better. It was a much smaller venue which helped, but the crowd seemed to almost be on the edge.. Which was a feeling I have never had at a show. the guys in front of me were typical steel workers… They pulled out a joint and wer passing it down the row… And this was a prestigious theater.

To youngsters like me (27) this was as close as I could get to the band or the sixties… If you squint there are moments where you feel like you are in a classic theater seeing the real DOORS.. Robby looks pretty old, as does Ray. But they rock, and the music is second to none. Your show in Ireland should be unreal. I want to go to Chicago and watch them again this summer. You never know when it might be the last time to see something like this.

The energy was there, had Jim Morrison been there he could have weilded it. Chaos and disorder; everything a great concert should have. I just sat in awe, there were several moments when I felt the emotions build up into my throat. To me this stuff is a religion! I think there is no song ever written by man that can compare to The End by the Doors. I wish they had played it! But I suppose it is better left to rest with Jim.

When you see the show in Dublin you should write a review. I’ll put it on my site and contact the Doors too!

I look at it like this… there are movies ie. the Doors, Woodstock, Isle of Wight, Berkley in the 60s, etc that let you learn and almost touch the 60s… Kinda like Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail… Seeing the Doors live let’s you reach out just a bit further.. You cannot touch it, but you can feel it?

If that makes any sense?
