Another tale of Montgomery

so I sit here relaxing in a blistering Florida spring night, not much different from the spring nights back home. Though I sure do miss walking through friendly green yards barefoot & calm. My friends & I with nothing to do would restlessly roam downtown avenues in Alabama thick air. Looking for the all American lazy spring night. Found it we did too-yes found it we did! The place was a sea of varied artist, musicians, poets & writers or philosophers. There were others too. They had no solid craft to call their own but were just down right inspirational. I could go on naming names ya know, but it would do no good . Anyone who has picked up a paint brush or strummed a guitar & even been the one who insisted on dragging their ragged notebook around to take scribbled notes on the nights events, memorable or not,we all know some of those cats who are just “on fire”! A handful of said individuals posses second hand guitars or a set of bongos with broken heads, heh. One fellow I love dearly has a colorful collection of fragmented poetry. It has no constant theme or collective binding, but is never the less just as inspirational as this cats wild antics themselves. I hold these guys in the highest esteem, for they have their fingers on the new pulse of the sleepy south. A pulse beating deep within the insides of downtown Montgomery, a pulse few know anything about, a pulse I dream of returning to. While working in Montgomery Street Coffee Shop on the corner of Bibb & living in humble quarters looking down on my beautiful city below. Writing a tale to tell.
