Here’s a short story for you to read

My mum went to school with this guy.
His name is Des Dillon and I read this story a moment ago.
He spells out a lot of the metaphors and analogies, which I find annoying but other than that it’s a good read.

All the place names are real and they are all within five miles of where I stay.

I swear to god I’m getting pissed off with poetry. I want to write short stories that matter and possibly a novel or two. My problem is: with poetry, you write it…BANG…and then maybe you edit bits here and there but, with a story, you have to think about it more and I always assume that my ideas are trite.

I need more confidence, or some adult drugs.
