PULL MY DAISY

Pull My Daisy…it seems to draw upon Maya Deren’s Meshes of the Afternoon…that type of avant-garde flick that seems to imply a lot without actually saying a lot. Robert Frank, who worked on the film, says it doesn’t have a story, but I can’t help but disbelieve. Anyone have an idea what this film is about, other than that it’s based on a story that Kerouac wrote but then abandoned to improvise the whole narration? Even more specifically, how does the film fit into a beat aesthetic? (if there is one…beat aesthetic, i mean.)
