It was really a very honest book in my opinion, though extremely depressing. After I read it, I went back to the earlier Keroauc and found that a lot of that sort of energy and joy seemed a bit disillusioning itself, as it sometimes seemed totally without regard to others and was sort of manic and contrived. Not that his earlier stuff doesn’t have it’s beauty and carpe diem to it.

W.B. Yeats, however, makes me smile with a giddy delight, even when he’s melancholy. So much beauty in emotions and feelings and EVERYTHING. Loved it.
