what about the ending inspired you? maybe i missed something. that book made me want to rent a flat in town and minimalize my belongings. it made me want to sit in front of a large bay window, drink coffe, eat rice for lunch and do nothing but write write write!! however it didn’t specifically inspire me to write beat trash! ha ha. check out my response to the ending in utterings.

i want to know what inspired YOU.

2. why don’t you own the book? just buy it again!! i was looking for my el doctrow book “ragtime” the other day and couldn’t find it so i purchased it again. it’s just too good of a book not to have.
