Ringolevio – Any one got info on Emmet Grogan?

Howdy,

For anyone who, like myself, is interested in the Beat generation and the subsequent Hippie movement that followed it, you gotta check this book out. I’ve read alot of the beat poets and writers over the past few years but Ringolevio is one of the best yet. It centres around Emmet Grogan who was the co-founder of the San Francisco Diggers. The Diggers basically sought fundamental changes in the way that people thought of their country, neighbours and themselves. They organised Free Food for the homeless and runaway kid’s and did more then any of the HIP merchants who yapped all day and night about Blah,Blah,Blah but did sweet fuck all!! If you want a true insight into the Beat culture then this is a must.
