…by Patricia Kennealy. Her version of her short relationship with the genius rock poet lead singer of the Doors. Anyone slightly more interested than the average appreciater of the film and music should read this one. I have read just about all of the books on, about, or pertaining to the Doors and/or Jim Morrison. “Light My Fire” by Ray Manzarek is a pleasantly nostalgic and informative read. I think “Strange Days” is maybe too unnecessarily biased. I also get the impression that the book is more of a statement about her attiude than a glimpse of who Jim was. It was neither good nor bad. Although it is a must read for those that wish to see all sides of the man as opposed to the general iconic all-rebelious “lizard king.” There are a few interesting bits and pieces here and there that you won’t find elsewhere.
