Recently received this documentary, which was several years in the making. The first half dramatizes scenes in JK’s life, and follows his footsteps all over the world. The second half is made up of interview footage of the people who knew him best.
I have watched other films, like “What Happened to Kerouac?” and “Kerouac” many, many times, but this film makes the others obsolete. It’s truly an incredible work, which I ordered straight from the filmmaker after finding his phone number on a random webpage. It’s pricey- I don’t know many people who would pay $43 for a VHS, but it was well worth it for me…highly recommended.
