Yr so right, thank you, thank you, thank you! I havent read Zarathustra since freshman year and im hazy. I think Hegel himself would’ve admitted the dialectic was teleological. Indeed, he framed it as such. He fully anticipated an “end to history”. The teleology of the dialectic is its own self-realization, self-fullfilment. The dialectic wasnt a system for Hegel in and of itself. Hegel attempted to systematize the dialectic as the Absolute Idea acheiving itself thru history. History isn’t linear…at all. History IS the dialectic.
