I have the vintage edition of Remembrance of Things Past, published in 81, and I had gotten about four hundred pages into it when I mysteriously stopped. I remember thinking that I, too, wanted a big iron table in my front lawn (when I have a front lawn and if I have a front lawn, or if there are any front lawns left) and under a big tree. I loved his descriptions of flowers. I got a funny feeling in my belly when he was spying on the two girls. I remember a walk on a trail outside of town with some sort of dilapidating building. I remember wanting to finish the book, so I think Ill start again. Oh yeah, and when I was young, I used to sin in the attic too.
