I’ve read his biography of Bruce Chatwin (although I’m probably biased, as Chatwin is one of my literary heroes)and it was excellent. I recall thinking, as I was reading it, that it was the best biographical work I had encountered, and really set the standard for works of that type…….an excellent read!
