I’ve been reading alot of books by and about G.I. Gurdjieff recently…He himself is a very dense and exhausting writer to read…but, that was the technique designed to test the will and concentration of the reader…only the strongest and/or most willing bring the kill back to feed the tribe in the cave. The books by Gurdjieff are non-fiction – and they may very well be the only genuinely non-fiction books to have ever existed in this world. If you are interested in this subject…and have not yet attempted Gurdjieff….or have attempted and given up in frustration…smoother runways to touchdown on will be found in P.D. Ouspensky’s ‘The Fourth Way’ (easier) or William Patrick Patterson’s ‘Eating the I’ (blended for very easy digestion). If you like your metaphysical speculations rife with recipes of ‘mumbo jumbo’ and pseudo-sangha-style hierarchies of magickal control and manipulative accomplishment – this stuff ain’t for you. If you want to understand the authentic capabilities of magic to liberate – this is the last door. Put away the black magick and step into the light.
