some advice for beyond good and evil…

do not try to read it through and through like the book you read yesterday…

take 1-2-3-4 or your whole life to read it.

take one paragraph and make it the focus of your entire week.

do not read beyond G&E if you are not familiar with Nietzche’s previous progressive thought patterns.

do not read it if you beforehand do not know what the title stands for.

do not read it if you do not enjoy struggle and dictionary shuffling.

make sure your copy is translated by someone who knows GERMAN (lol)
—-Walter Kaufman is my suggestion

supplement it with a biographical or some sort of interpretive re Nietzche.

approach his book such as life should be–very seriously, yet at the same time light-heartedly

if someething seems vague or grey, rejoice and delve further!

i am sure you know much of this, just some advice i considered before reading it
