that you don’t seem to enjoy the book. I think Ehrenreich should be commended for writing a book that shows how some of the hardest workers in America barely get by. Yes, it’s an obvious problem in America that one can work two or three jobs and still not quite make ends meet, but if it’s so obvious, then why isn’t anything being done to change it? The workers that hold the American system together are being treated like cattle, expendable and cheap. Imagine what your life would be like if you hadn’t had the chance to go to college and be forced to read books against your will. I’m pretty sure it’s preferable to working sixteen hours a day for minimum wage just to make the rent payments on an apartment or motel room in a dangerous area. Compassion is always appreciated.
