but that’s the thing with P-nuk; his books feel like they were written to be adapted as movies.

I think movie writing has ruined a lot of writers. They see Pulp Fiction, and then imagine people walking around quoting their lines a la “royale with cheese” etc, and so they try to write that way, which, as jamelah said, is great for bumper stickers but not so much for novels.

Maybe the line wasn’t lifted straight from the book; but the one you quoted above was from his books, and I have the same issues with that one.

Actually, we all love, P-nuk, but we’re just being spiteful because you didn’t like On the Road.
