good for you! one of my favorite works although its been a long time since I’ve wandered its shores — only finished first volume and remember being particuarly struck by his distinction of the vegetative (organic) versus the linear/static in the early part of the first volume.
of course after Spengle, if you haven’t already, its off to Nietsche and his THUS SPAKE ZARATHUSTRA and his GENEALOGY OF MORALS etc. and for superb insight go to Kierkegarrd’s FEAR AND TREMBLING and SICKNESS UNTO DEATH. i’m currently reviewing the ancient philosopher through the lens of Pierre Hadot’s WHAT IS ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY and for bedtime reading its Marcus Aurelius’s MEDITATIONS.
Onward with the Journey!!
