I saw Burroughs in 1984 do a reading at the Pussy Cat Theater in LA. It was a hell of a show; he came in along with a German Adonis, his current lover–he was dressed in a trench coat and wore a hat. he was very gaunt and as a recovering addict I can tell you he appeared to be stoned. Still he was very impresive and he also showed his movie. A great time was had by all; two of my English Professors took me to this “reading.”
