jewish is determined by my mother’s being jewish. true.
i do not practise the religion. true.
here, in Israel, because my mother is jewish, i don’t have to be a practising Jew. true.

that’s the story.
i am what i am.

unlike, say in Canada or the U.S., where i might be defined by someone else by my birth religion, and would have to go to great lengths to explain my own personal meditative, cosmic love, feel for the joy of being alive (or sorrow,whatever).

besides, confusion is good
it leads to further questioning.
