the writers of this new generation is us…. we have stumbled upon something extraordinary from the beat generation, and we have begun to get interested in it, developing different writing styles, and thinking. i’m just wanting to know, as well there are others out there with the same question as i do, what do we call OURSELVES in this new generation of writing? we cannot use kerouac’s term ‘beat’–it was unique to him and his generation of writers, now we must band together and figure out what it should be called to progress any further.
