What i read into this

What I read into this is that a city can be a very cynical and morally slipshod place. But when faced with a true threat — Nazi invasion, or the WTC bombing — people in a city will discover how important their freedoms really are.

I don’t really see a lot of difference between Islamic fundamentalism and other forms of totalitarean government. Do you?
