Hi! Am rereading Bret Easton Ellis’s American psycho. I love it, but it also freaks me out, partly because there is no “good guy” in the book, who canhelp the reader to realize, that what Bateman does is wrong. Even in the darkest horror stories there is usually someone to outweigh the “bad one”. Do you think that American psycho is a horror story or a critisicm of the society of the early ninetees? And if Bateman is the narrator, how exaxtly does the reader know if Ellis shares his views or not?
