First off, sorry about any spelling/grammamer mistakes, I write these posts late at night and my mental faculties are geared to content. Then again that’s probably just an excuse to cover for the fact that I’m a hopeless child of the word processor generation, and this posting site thingy don’t have not any spell checker.
But why not? Hero and Villain are terms that we apply when we feel the subject has met certain criteria. In order to apply absolute conditions to Hero and Villain you must accept absolute distinctions of good and bad, which is hardly a concession I’m willing to make.
Besides which the whole idea of absolute good or bad is inconsistent with reality. That’s why the Antihero appeals to us.
