As for me I must have been the most vulgar and rude American the entire time that I was in Eurasia. I have not the time to study every culture, and as for the offended, I had no exchanges, verbal or otherwise. Maybe the uniform scared them; I do not know. As for snapping during a reading, let the poet state prefernces beforehand, makes for less misunderstandings.
