I think that po-Struc. has influenced alot of literary theory since its conception, partly because of Barthes and the angle that he had (I really must get you to read S/Z, Writing Degree Zero, or the ‘Death of the author’ essay).
Wasn’t the ‘Stream of Consciousness’ idea something
That had much more prominence when it was used by the Modernists in the early 20th century? I think there is alot more discussion over Woolf’s ‘To The Lighthouse’ and ‘Finnegan’s Wake’ than any overtly Post-struc. text, but then again, you can read texts in many different ways, and i’m sure the idea of S.O.C. can be used as a tool by writers wanting to break down constructs..
