The role of instincts….Please comment

He says-“What is the law?”
They say-“We shall eat no meat.
“We shall walk on two legs.
“We shall spill no blood.
ARE WE NOT MEN?”

That is so fucking twisted. Making a bunch of mutants out of human and animal genes and then
forcing them to ignore their instincts.
Isn’t that how society really works though?
You are taught that you are civilized and higher
than the animals. You are brain washed until you
can’t even tell natural emotions, feelings and
urges from what you are “supposed” to feel and how you are “supposed” to react and respond to those feelings, those deeply ingrained and usually
spontaneous impulses. I’m not saying that we should start running around killing each other just because we are angry or frustrated. Because
in truth, we are highly evolved creatures with the capacity for cognitive thought, which leads to the developement of morals, compassion and love
beyond the mother-nurture instincts. I’m just saying that as humans we need to learn to separate instinct from societie’s trappings and give it release. I think beat poetry or any other
form of art is the ultimate way to achieve this.
Can you dig it?…
