Turn 4 The Verse
The rain came down in a steady stream.
I know they're off to distant lands and the emptiness
knocked down the towering height of this poets' ego.
Children didn't laugh, the Devil did play, God didn't like his judgment day.
And then, with rainbows formed, they embraced the sky like a triumphant Athena.
Then without a care, without a dare, some sent soldiers to the fray.
But the red-eyed fury that I felt that day made me seem a bit more like Athena.
Death was all around the soldiers, sadly they fell into that abyss.
I tried to catch a feather and save my soul before I walked near the oracle.
That darkened hole in which I too fell while others were
unaware it was a turn for the verse.
